Phil MacDougall
Owner, President
Phil is a graduate of St. Dunstans University (University of Prince Edward Island) with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) and earned his Chartered Accountant (C.A.) designation with Clarkson, Gordon in London, Ontario. Phil has been awarded his Fellowship Designation (F.C.A.) by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Prince Edward Island. Phil retired from the Senior Management ranks of the Government of the Province of Prince Edward Island, after a career of almost thirty (30) years, as a Deputy Minister with responsibilities in numerous departments.
Sherry (Shuo) Huang
Owner, C.E.O.
Sherry is a graduate of Simon Fraser University in BC with a Bachelor of Science. She is a CMA candidate and presently pursuing her MBA from Saint Marys University. She is also one
of the leading Asian business consultants on PEI, with several years
experience working in Canadian business consulting companies in Toronto
and 3 years experience in a professional accounting firm in Charlottetown.
Sherry has been working with local PEI companies: providing expertise in
Asian market investigations and development, business management,
strategic planning and feasibilities study; Sherry has also been actively
involved in organizing Provincial Trade Missions to China and has attended
2008 Canadian Leaders Mission to China led by five Canadian Premiers.
Sherry is a board member of Confederation Center of the Art. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is the President of the Canadian Chinese Association of PEI.
Helen Green
Owner, Vice President of Marketing International.
Helen oversees the advertising and promotion of Tutors on Demand. Helen has a Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation Management and is currently working on her Masters' Degree.
Jenny (Jianrong) Zheng
Owner, Vice President Marketing China
Jaime-Lyn
Director of Academic Programs
Tutors on Demand Director. She oversees the hiring of new tutors, is responsible for all tutors after they have been hired, communicates with parents and teachers as necessary and establishes curriculum. Jaime-Lyn has a Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality).
Elizabeth
TESL Marker
Elizabeth moved to Prince Edward Island in July 2007. She was born in the United States, but has lived, studied and taught in various countries such as China, Switzerland and the U.K. Elizabeth has a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, as well as a Master’s degree in English Education from Columbia University in New York. She received her TESL training in London, England where she taught classes for refugees from all over the world. Elizabeth loves to travel and experience new places. She enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her family.
Vi
Administrative Assistant/Accounting Technician
Vi was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. She graduated from college with an Administrative Assistant Certificate and an Accounting Technician Diploma. She has worked in several offices as an office administrator or an accounting technician. She started working at Study Abroad Canada in the fall of 1999. She is pleased to help students with information before and after they come to Prince Edward Island. Vi likes to travel and in the summer, you will always find her enjoying the beautiful beaches of Prince Edward Island.
Jimena
Administrative Assistant
Jimena was born and raised in Colombia. At the age of sixteen she went to London, England to study English as a second language, where she lived for almost two years. After completing her English studies, Jimena travelled to Cyprus and returned to Colombia in 2001 to study Modern Languages and Organizational Communication. In 2002, she moved to PEI and began working as a customer service representative, providing service in both English and Spanish. Currently, Jimena attends Holland College where she is enrolled in the Business Administration Program.
