Our Resident Care Worker Training Program gives you both classroom learning and real hands-on practice in healthcare settings. You will learn essential skills such as personal care, safety, nutrition, and cognitive and mental health support. Resident Care Worker Program
Accommodation Options
Optional homestay accommodation is available for the full 30-week duration. This includes a private room, 3 healthy meals per day, and airport pick-up/drop-off.
- Grade 12 or equivalent (mature student status option)
- Resume
- Immunization verification
- 2 references from non-family members
- Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proof of age
- English proficiency (if applicable): SACC IEP with a CLB 7, IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6), or CELPIP 7 (no section below 6)
Mature student status can be granted to applicants that do not have a high school diploma or GED. If you are 21 or older and have been out of school for over a year, you can apply as a mature student. Your life and work experience will be considered along with any past education.
You may still qualify by submitting:
- A letter explaining your relevant experience
- A detailed resume
- Your most recent school transcript
You may also need to take an assessment to confirm your readiness for the program. Some employers may require Grade 12 or equivalent as part of hiring requirements, which can limit employment options.
